BF2 1920x1200 performance

Right i've installed BF2 and i'm running at 1920x1200 but I get a really poor framerate, around 40 fps....I can run COD4 at 60 fps at max.
Is there something i'm overlooking?
 
first question is how the hell did you get it in widescreen as the bf2 code still does not allow it natively :confused:

thought i'd also add that you can set it to log you in auotmatically by addig username password and soldier name, not sure exact code but google gives many results. i do this plus rename the intro videos so i have a very quick login, just 2 clicks and i am playing :)

i can run bf2142 at that resolution on my xtx1900 and it runs fine as long as i have a proper fan on the machine the whole time. Does this mean bf2142 is better coded then?

Yes it is badly coded, but its still a great game. 2142 is probably slightly better given they learnt a bit from BF2. It is bad that I cant run a 3 year old game at 1920x1200 yet I can run COD4, Crysis etc at that res...
 
Tweaked Configs are a con TBH.

I get 35-45FPS with Very High @ 1280x960 no AA or 25-30FPS with Very High @ 1600x1200 no AA with no messing about and latest Beta drivers + 1.2Patch.
 
At 1280x960 (NO AA) I do, trying to say im a liar ? (the one who used tweaked configs).

Why would I lie, everyone knows my opinion of this game, I cant run it at settings I would like to cause its bugged.

4GHZ E8500 + 700/2400 Ultra SC, and only since new Drivers+1.2 patch, gave me 5-10FPS.

i have crysis myself, and it aint to bad as a game (single player) i play it @1680x1050 on my current rig, 24 inch monitor with an 8800gts clocked pretty high, but crysis isnt the be all and end all im able to play my older games eg cod1/uo mohaa at a rate i could never dream off, ill admit i like doing a little benching as well likes of the ocuk 3dmark06 and the crysis chart, my scores aint brilliant but im up in the charts, for a noob overclocker is nice for me:)
as for crysis @1680x1050 i get about 35-40 fps, have to drop native res for that game, only game i playcurrently is cod4 @1920x1200 2xaa 8xaf and it runs pretty good

hmm, sure the resolution was a little higher, but if 3 GTXs cant get over 37 fps then i very much doubt you can ;)

You need understand 1280x960 is not "High Res" today and SLI is still not working in Crysis so your comment about 3xGPU's is a moot point.

I dare to say my GPU is far faster than a GTX and they may have tried it with AA and look at the date, Dec 2007, the game was unpatched. ;)

As the peep above said, this aint a Crysis thread, just the fact you said you said played it at 1920's, must run pants at anything over MED.
