BF2 constant crashing on new Windows 7 PC

Just tried reinstalling and now windows has decided that BF2.exe is not a valid application..

Getting really fed up with this now, wish I'd never bought my new pc!!!

Edit: and now it won't even try to install, i t just comes up saying setup was interrupted before it could finish and that's it.

Sick of this stupid new computer!!!

Going to go back to my old one!!!

Sorry to hear that mate. You are installing from a dvd yes? Oh and don't forget to install the patches in order depending on what version of BF2 you have. Run everything as Admin and apart from that I'm stumped, was sure your problem was the screen size :(
 
sadly I never got the chance to try the screen size thing as when I reinstalled windows decided that bf2.exe was not a valid application!!!

Tried again to reinstall and it refused to do anything...

I've now reformatted and amd starting from scratch... hopefully it'll work properly this time!

(now if I could just find the post I found before with a link to the google uk search provider for IE8)
