bf2 flying with a xbox controller?

Hey i was just wondering if it works very well as i figure it would probably be very good for flying a helicopter. I currently have a joystick but i need to buy a new xbox controller anyway and figure i might as well try it. Wondered what you guys thought?

but yea this it would be better than keyboard atleast giving you greater precision.... can't i cant fly with the mouse for anything xP it should work so let us know

I have tried both and i will stick with mouse and keyboard for helicopter, and stick with joystick for planes, i also think most people will agree with me.

When I played BF2 religiously, it was always mouse & keyboard for helicopters, and joystick & keyboard for planes.

i currently use mouse and keyboard for helicopters. But i thought a pad could have a lot of advantages with a helicopter. Shame. Also im not taking my joystick to uni with me so i gues a gamepad still is better then a mouse for flying.

Mouse + Keyboard for chopper every time. Tried joystick it is crap.

Only joystick for the jets though
