BF2 keyboard problem

I keep getting a strange problem in BF2. When in a game, my W key seems to become intermitently dodgy. If i hold it down i'll walk for a second or 2 then stop. I press it again and the same thing happens. If im lucky and sprint, it'll sprint for a bit then stop dead. I reinstalled the game, it was fine for a bit and now its doing it again!!

anyone else had this problem?

hmm, it could be lag as this causes the same effect, make sure your not dwn or uploading whilst playing, or check that your WASD keys are working ok

Ive also seen it the other way .... you lift your finger of the forward key and you keep running/walking as if your sliding on ice !

Mine does the same, not sure if its my rubbish keyboard or the game.

I think its the game. The keys work fine in everything else and when its freshly installed. I might try updating the keyboard drivers see what happens

That's what made me stop playing bf2, i was strafing and walking even when I had taken my fingers off the keys :<

I had a similiar problem a while ago, it would just either develop a mind of its own or just competely stop responding for brief periods. I thought it was the keyboard batteries, so I replaced them and it sill did it on occasion. That said it has happened again since that incident.

It happens in both single and multiplayer :S its really irritating as it went away for a while but now its back making it unplayable

Probably the Punkbuster lag issue.
