BF2 patch question

I've just bought BF2, do i have to download every patch since the release or just the lastest one (1.22) to bring it upto date?

I think mine is the 1.0.2442.0 version.
 
Thanks, one more question when i finish a map online were it shows medals and best medic,etc no names appeal its just blank or N/A will this patch fix this?
 
have you been playing on ranked servers? if not you wont have any score. the patch wouldnt fix that i dont think, how long have you been playing the game for?
 
I think thats my problem i've not been playing on a ranked server, how do u know which is ranked?

I used to play the demo when first came out but today is the first time playing the full version just 2 hours online game play so far...

To get on a ranked server just make sure you've got the appropriate internet filters checked on the server browser prior to searching.

For example I just had a look at mind and I've got:

Ranked
Same Version Only
Populated
Same Mod
Punkbuster
and Medium Maps checked on mine

(oh yeah and if you're still not sure, all ranked servers have a small icon to the left of the server's name in the browser, it looks like a sergeant or corporal's badge...)
