Just installed this great game again without any expansion packs. Was wondering if anyone knows which patch is the best one to update the game to? In the past I have downloaded the latest and found not many servers to be populated, unlike a friend of mine who used to get hundreads of servers showing. Anyone know the best patch to update to ?

The best patch is always the most recent, in this case 1.5 (which includes the two booster packs free). If you are having issues seeing servers on the most recent patch you were either playing on the first couple of days of the patch going live and therefore seeing the teething of updated servers or having some sort of connection issue.

allready over my GB usage for the month so best wait till monday if I dont want to rack up the bill 
I've just bought and installed BF2 complete edition but for the life of me can't work out how to access the 2 booster packs. I've followed all EA activation guides/articles but still can't see the option within the game to play em?

thanks mate - it is now confirmed - I am a tard
for some reason I was expecting them to appear in the Community>Custom Games screen alongside the special forces expansion
just checked and the 6 booster pack maps are in the maps section instead
