BF2 server OCUK now up

Been playing today and have remembered why I stopped playing bf2. The bunny hopping, dolphin diving and constant barrage of grendades. ******* hell, it ruins a fantastic game. If I wasn't trying to enjoy myself playing it, its actually hilarious to watch.

Does anyone know of any decent servers, player wise to play on?

Yeah come along mate, had a gr8 game on the server the other nite! was really close!

Also we are hoping to have a squad nite soon, that way we can work as a team to take flags... the nade fest usualy only happeneds on Karkand

Yeah that's the trouble. We even had a nade fest on the =TFU= srever the other day which spoiled it. I think a soldier should have a maximum of 3 grenades in his life. It would turn the whole game into a more tacticle operation.

Agreed.

For the record so people dont get confused =TFU=/OCUK server was set up for the OCUK guys as only a few guys in my clan play BF2. It was paid for by our clan. That way every1 win's ;)

If you want more of a tacticle operation i'd strongly recommend you try project reality, at times it can be walking simulator 2009 but with a decent squad its a lot of fun.

Anyone up for it? Might as well play it before the new Bad Company 2 comes out and bf2 gets forgotten!!
 
I shall try to be there, was online very briefly last night (and doing some brilliant dying...) before a powercut put pay to my whole evening.

Does vent use much computer resources? I'd like to get on voice coms but bit worried that my aging comp (p4 2.8ghz...) will grind to halt trying to run both...

ALso how does it work with regards to button presses for when you're transmitting etc? Does it have like a global hot key that vent tracks even when you're in bf2???
