BF2 texture flickering

Anyone no if there is a fix for it and does it happen on AMD cards, check the M16 out to see the textures overlapping, looks awful, cheers.

Doesnt happen on my 6970. - Are you using the latest Nvidia Drivers?

Always the latest drivers here, must be an Nvidia specific problem them unless other Nvidia owners don't have it, I have a 480 now but back in the day with a 260 I don't rember this being an issue.

After a quick google search, I found people with this issue on both ATi and Nvidia :confused:

i've had a few flickering textures on the map 'heavy metal' but i havent had any other issues on other maps.

I'v watched the video a few times, I honestly cant see the flickering textures...

Watch it full screen in 1080, parts of the gun textures are flickering.

This flickering problem in BF2 has puzzled me greatly over the years and I still can't figure out what exactly causes it. What I do know is that it depends on your graphics card and is mostly likely to do with the filtering techniques it uses. From my experience:

9800 pro - flickering

X1900 XT- flickering

4870/4890 - no flickering

5870 - flickering

It also depends on the direction you are looking at, as sometimes it's barely noticeable, other times it's absolutely horrendous.

Hey I remember that flickering in BF2

As above I'd been through a couple of cards, plenty of drivers and it never went away. I just learnt to ignore it in the end.
