BF2 - Xbox 360 controller setup

Hey, I recently reinstalled BF2 and I was wondering, has anyone managed to setup a 360 controller when flying? I can get most of the controls configured through the game but for some reason it does not pick up the different axis.

Has anyone solved this problem before or knows a solutions to this? Cheers.

I used to use my 360pad for jets, worked perfectly but that was like a year ago so I can't really help other than that!

Well...I guess that confirms that it does actually work then lol...somehow
