Bf2142 Crash to Desktop

BF will no co-operate everytime i try to load a map as soon it instantly crashes to desktop with no error. Ive tried numerous variations on my settings to no avail (patched to 1.4), i honestly dont know how to fix this and its driving me insane lol. Has anyone else experienced this?

nope on XP Pro sp2( I have vista 64 in dual boot)

go back to 1.25 patch?

Renaming a file in bf2142 folder.
i was getting crashes as soon as i started the game. renamed the radial. cdb
file to smt else and whammo problem solved

no more crashes.

Well i fixed it, dont ask me how, as it was about 2 hours worth of trial and error and it finally works. Thanks for the help though

i had this problem and sorted it yesterday.

uninstall bf2142

reinstall bf2142

reinstall northern strike

update to the 1.25 patch

download pbsetup.exe from punbuster website and manualy update the settings

works a charm!
