BF2142 - TRUE WIDESCREEN

yes Lyon...whe I tried it again....and when zooming in I do get some shaking/shimmering. Could be quite annoying TBH now that Ive really noticed it. Its not all the time when zooming...if you are in zoom..panning to the right and you stop to focus ion a target...its shakes/shimmers for a second or so. In the heat of the battle..and you need quick accuracy....this certanly might hinder your ability! Have you tried others settings for the Update Rate? does this make any difference?
 
I have exhausted all the possible settings, I guess we just have to wait for an update.

Shame, but fair play to the guy for getting on this issue.
 
I have had exactly the same issue with the zoom focus - it is certainly an issue - so much so that I am not actively using it altho the game looks so much better at native res with the correct FOV.

1.4 Patch is not out yet but I guess that not even this would be enough to convince DICE and EA that widescreen is not so much of an advantage.
 
Understand it is not so much an issue when you are zooming in/raising iron sights, it is when you move your weapon to line it up with the enemy.

I imagine some people might miss it. For me though, like you Steve this issue outweighs the advantage.

I've sent an emailing regarding the problem, he is probably being swamped by these emails but I can't think of another way on getting confirmation on a possible fix.
 
Dont see any diff between the two widescreen screenshots other than the 2nd one is a few steps back hence the wider view, but i bet if the stance was the same you wouldnt see more on sides compared to 1st ws screenie.

He is in exactly the same spot, this is how widescreen works. It looks a step back because before this the only widescreen option we had was to crop the top and bottom of the screen. So now we get our vert image back and the hor+ we deserve.
 
Any idea what settings i should use for this tool with a 24Inch Dell ? I have the commande line at the moment set to

"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1920 +szy 1200

Just the same...you have allreday set the game to fun in a widescreen resolution...you just arent getting the full FOV in that game. Run the program....start the game...and to change the FOV press the * button at the top of the Numpad. You will see the FOV changing!
 
Been using this for a little while now, makes a hella difference and brings a whole new feeling of speed to the game.

My buddy is a WSGF regular and knows the creator, hes told me that the creator of this has e-mailed and had confirmation from Evenbalance that it's totally legit etc and is safe to use.
Been using it for a good while now and I'm safe so go ahead have a real FOV WS users. :p

BaldEagle...i find it looks much beter. But havent really tried it for very long...will get a good session going tonight with it...see if i cant kill some of the enemy at the wide of the screen before they can see me:D

Do you get the shaking issue when zooming in with BF2...I have only tried it so far with 2142.

Are you the same as 50K Bald Eagle??

Yes I get the shaking when going to Iron sights , I have decided Infantry Play I am not using this , Plane and helis is a Deffo , you get 3 incches back(oooo errr ) over top and bottom views.

Yes I am the 50K Baldy ( Hamps Personal Body Guard/Revive Bitch )

Deleted does your buddy know if the creator has a sights jitter fix in the pipeline?
