Seems the benchmark posted here and this write up posted by another forum member contradict, what you guys are experiencing.

The write up makes it sound like a 6970 will run the game maxed to the hilt at 1080p.

You guys with your crossfire configs, seem to be struggling...

Will I benefit from a cpu upgrade, even tho Im sticking with my 5870? (which from what I can see is trading blows with a 6950 in this game)

That seems to be in line with what I have been experiencing. Perhaps it does not use multiGPU properly. Wouldnt be suprised with it being a beta.

this is way more demanding than bc2. I have no probs in bc2 in firefights but this drops to 3fps. most of the time im 30-50fps. most of that is cpu demand i think.

I don't think we have access to all the options, set on Medium, High or Ultra I got the exact same FPS. Low was a little higher.

Done a quick comparison to show what I mean (click for big):

The shadows and lighting change but the textures look near identical.

Could be wrong though :p

Very tempted to chop in my 5870's for a pair of 6970's or a single 6990.

I feel the game is hitting my GPU ram.

Turning settings down is not an option, I need to run games how they are supposed to be run.
