Try in the general hardware section you might get a bit more interest, but as about maybe low if youre lucky. Might help if you had a budget to work with

thanks guys for your replies . yea im not expert but i did wonder if it had its day, if i have to upgrade then prolly about £300.00 / £350.00 ish, maybe keep the gfx card, get another and sli them i dont know. i will drop it into hardware and see again cheers.
Darren.

My brother had a 8800gtx and he was lagging really badly on all low settings with bf3 and his CPU is a 3.3ghz @ 4.3ghz c2d with 4gig of ram.

Definately bin it and start again.

You should be able to get a lot for your 939 setup i did when i went from 939 to 775 with a q6600. Got a ton for it too.

You should be able to upgrade once you have sold ur 939 setup to a q6600 with not much more than what you get from your sales. I think i spent only £50 or so after i sold my lot.

If its any consolation, you can setup a half decent rig for BF3 quite cheaply. He has a 4890 now (thanks to me) that plays it all on high between 40-60fps with the spec above. I have sent him another one but he needs another pci-e power cable which should be arriving tomorrow.

You can pickup two of these for around 80-90quid. They perform better than my 5870 (according to reviews) though they dont have directx 11 but I thought it was a good upgrade and I had to do it in stages due to funds. If I coulda done it out right I'd have got him a second hand 5870. As thats what I have and I get 60-100 (depends if its indoors or not)

Im keen to see how it plays out :)

With £350.00 (upper limit of op's budget), and the sale of the old bits, it would be possible to pick up an i7 1136 setup with money left over, i recently bought an x58 board, an i7 930 and 6gb of ram for £200.00, a steal considering the cpu, board and ram in my sig cost almost £600.00 a few years ago

hi mate , not sure spec dependent i suppose , prolly gonna be medium ,be nice to say hi but without spending a boat load prolly wont happen, seen some good bundles in the overclockers shop.
