well as a lot of people want new cards or are looking at what settings to use and so on i thought why not just do a thread with only actual fps in bf3 mp

no bs just min , avg , max fps with your exact settings and graphics card.

maybe if enough results in we could do a chart or something which would make easy refference.

we will use fraps and do 60 sec benchmark runs (free fraps here http://www.fraps.com/download.php ) please use metro map for this bench run outside only !

Good idea but perhaps a 64 man server would be better. That way people could see what the absolute minimum frame rates a particular card/set-up will deliver.

msaa is the biggest fps killer in this game, it's not even as cpu dependent as bfbc2 was. Playing on a 64 player server has no effect on fps for me, vram is another myth, im using 1280mb cards, i see 1200mb now and again, im gonna try my two gtx 460's for interest, but the 470's arent affected.
