BF3 Normal or Hardcore

I know we have enough threads already but maybe we can turn this one into a pole?

Which do you play and why, Normal or Hardcore?

Normal in BC2 was like running round shooting potato shooters, BF3 seems much more better

Is there any way of choosing between the two modes before starting the game?

Sometimes I end up in hardcore server and only realise afterwards

Hardcore is fine, you just have to make sure you are in cover all the time and if you are going to pop out of cover, make sure your health has fully regenerated.

I did my first play through on the 360 on hard, took about 7 hours in total.

Either is fine with me, i found hardcore on bfbc2 to be too easy, much easier to rack up the kills. But the flipside is that you had to be more careful as the deaths rack up pretty quickly.

He's taking about the multiplayer, on hardcore you don't Regen health. I prefer hardcore mode makes the bullets feel like they are actually doing some damage.

Normal for me, makes for some great fights, HC just promotes camping for kills imo as it puts people off wanting to go for the objective.

Ah, my mistake, skim reading!

In that case, normal for me, on BC2 it ended up snipers everywhere camping

Hardcore modes are really just easy core, takes absolutely no skill to get a kill just sit one place and and as long as you shoot first you most likely gonna get the kill.

For me hardcore = noob easy core.

Battlelog server browser you get a tickbox for hardcore and normal. So I guess if you tick normal then search if will only show normal modes. These settings also get used in quick match, or so the game says.

Cod series = Hard core, BF series = Normal.

As posted above, in hard core yo find too many just sat on roofs, in windows and hiding in bushes wating for easy kills..... sad really.

hardcore for noobs, normal for pros. i`m a pro :

btw normal bf3 feels like hardcore in bc2, not a fan of bf3 so far..

Normal mode is far more fun and less frustrating.
