Based on MW2 and BO, if I bought MW3 I'd just feel like I was saying "Violate me as you will and I'll still be a mindless, money-giving puppy."

The only reason I'd get MW3 is if PROPER reviews said it was genuinely good and they got rid of akimbo and the more stupid perks like Commando and Last Stand.

bf3 on pc since it looks badass! and mw3 on xbox because a lot of my friends will get it on that.

BF3 only for me, MW3 will be the same that we saw in MW1+2 and Black Ops to a degree ... bring on the Frostbite 2 engine and its destruction capabilities .. I can't wait ..!

I shall be buying both, have on pre-order. Regard both have different playing styles and have friends who play both games.

Battlefield 3 for me.

I'm not a CoD hater though. The last one I thoroughly enjoyed was CoD 4. The last one I played online for any length of time was World at War. Since then, I've played the campaigns when my friend has bought them for his 360, but nothing more. The series just isn't trying anything new. The mechanics haven't evolved at all. I'll reserve judgement until launch (I'll be going up to my friend's to play that and Gears 3), but it just doesn't look new enough.

Battlefield 3, on the other hand. I played it at i43, and wow. The gun mechanics are much more meaty, there's lots more recoil. Do not expect to empty a whole magazine at someone and hit with anything more than the first few bullets. Everything has more weight to it than Bad Company 2. It's all together more serious, but it's a better game for it. Such a pretty game too :)

Both, we are talking two 30 quid games here not which £300 console.

Modern Warfare 3 is £39.99 on PC

I would say this would factor into a frugal gamer's buying decision, but a frugal gamer may not necessarily have the PC to run Battlefield 3 so... Modern Warfare 3 is certainly more accessible, both in terms of what you can play it on, and the mechanics of the game itself, which is why it will kerb stomp Battlefield 3 in sales. I'm sure Dice know this though.

40 quid for a reskinned MW2, think i'll pass. I still havn't recovered from buying that badly ported, buggy piece of **** black ops.

BF3, Red Orchestra 2, Dead Island maybe Rage is more than enough.

COD and everything it stands for can go to the gaming graveyard in the sky. Maybe if ************ put some of that doller they make back into a new engine for the series. But the same **** for the past 5 years if not more, they can rot in hell and i hope they go bankrupt along with there lecherous employees who work for the evil that it is (not nice but just spent £300 on a duvet that the mrs wanted so i am grumpy).
