BF3 vs MW3

ill buy Mw3 cos its a fast small arcade FPS that i can pick up and put down.

A few months after when BF3 has had its first price cut ill buy it. Play it a while get owned by the pair in the Helicopter gunship on ventrilo or other Flavour vehicle. Im sure BF3 will be the better game but it requires teamwork and effort which few people have or want to try.

LOL MW3 will have an elite service that will make customers pay a monthly subscription to merge social networking into gaming and BF3 is doing all that for FREE.

Cool story, bro.

If BF3 is anything like BC2, it's gonna be easy to jump in the game, play a successful round or two and leave. That is once you get the grip of the gameplay because unlike MW series, the game is not about perks and killing sprees but about teamplay.

You can still be a lonely Rambo if you want to but that requires much more skill and luck... sort of like in real life.

since the momentum is in BF3s side you may see IW support there game a bit differently. Its all very well and good for BF3 to look amazing but if its buggy and broke then its a loss. You can just see the flame wars now, especially if IW supply us with mod tools and we get descent server support. COD might not be the technically better game but the support of the product could clinch it in there favour. Thank god we have an alternative this year, it might actually cause better games to come out............

BWWWWAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA

Not checked your Tools section on Steam recently I presume?

Until they post specifically denying them (like DICE have done), I'm not going to rule it out...

I didn't waste my money on BlOps so why would I see that

I just find it strange that you'd be laughing so intensely at a statement asking about Mod tools for a game, when it's a possibility. Particularly when the other game in question has already been confirmed as not having them.

It's just that IW (or should I say Activision) seem so set on taking things away from the PC community so they can force their product ideas and DLC on players. Mod tools and decent server support is a heck of a lot to ask of Activision.

Community content is often better than official releases, but stops them from making money.

I want BF3 to have mods and hopefully they will make it possible at some point, but it looks unlikely at the moment.

It would be great if all games had an SDK but sadly that's not the trend we have within PC gaming at the moment. Publishers want to make money past the initial purchase.

Everyone I know jumps onto new COD games as soon as they are released, I will probably purchase it as well because when I am teamed with friends we have a blast however I get bored of COD games quicker then what I do with Battlefield games.

COD lasts me a few months, BF games last me until the next one comes out.

Overall I just like BF better, no killstreaks, you get to ride tanks and hopefully in the new one jet fighters and its just more team oriented. Less screaming from children I find as well.

The only way that MW3 could hope to compete imho would be a return to the mentality of COD4 MW and adopt a full public server release strategy. That would at least bring in the Clans and competition interest over what BF3 can offer (which is likely to be naught).

These types of threads really do bring out the absoloute worst in people.

Some of the comments in this thread are just down right ill informed drivel.

I will buy MW3 on release and will get BF3 at Christmas, both on the 360, I have no issue with enjoying each game on its own merits.

And FTR I am a 29 year old console gaming kid.

Console BF3 will be a poor experience with just 24 players on the expansive battlefield, if you have a decent PC get it for that and enjoy huge maps and 64 man combat, the way battlefield should be played.
