I used the GPU section as its about the overlay in bf4, i have a i7 3930k at 4.3Ghz and MSI Gaming 290x at stock.
The Yellow gpu line seems very flat the cpu line is on top but has lots of little bumps which seem ok but i still get at least a few spikes in games.
I tried gpu settings like turning AA off etc but doesn't seem to change.
I know some people make profiles with certain programs could you help at all?
Also i noticed on one persons screen shot of the overlay that there gpu and cpu lines are really far apart and very flat, how is that possibe?
Thanks in advance

Hi Borley I do believe the yellow line the CPU and the green line is GPU.

Even after the big CTE patch I still get the odd big spike? Not sure why but that's BF4 for you:confused:

They are far apart if you limit your FPS, I limit mine to 70, which is above my refresh rate but you dont get the large spikes and dips in FPS that you feel.

Mantle vs DX 11 for me is night and day as well for smoothness.

Funny before reading your answer i thought i'd try the gametime.maxvariablefps command and it has pretty much got rid of all spikes!:)
Even though i knew of this command i didnt bother with it as i though it wouldnt affect cpu but yes its pretty much flatline now!
So happy days, i may reduce it to 90 fps as that seems to be my average even though i do get over 120 fps a lot on my 120hz monitor.
