Started before the patch, game randomly crashes in between levels. Now I can't open multiplayer at all, I get some white flickering then the system locks up. Single player will load and play for a few minutes, then crashes.

I can loop benchmarks all day long and play other games so my rig is more than capable.

Works in 32bit, though just got kicked by Punkbuster.

Code:
ERROR
Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'S2KIP' (for 0 minutes) ... Time Out trying to Update PB Client

But everything is up to date.

Try repair install too, something might have fudged up with some files, the not getting into mp at all bit sounds like the origin overlay issue - it doesn't like anything else like afterburner or fraps running along side it, easiest just to disable it in the game options on origin.

980s won't fix punkbuster :p

Have you download the pbsetup and manually update punkbuster?
That crash least on directx happens when a gpu overclock isn't stable. Do you run overclocks?

If so try on stock for while.

I don't need overclocks, tend to get well over 80 fps on any map so I run stock. Like I said, system is 100% stable in everything else.

Will look at PB tomorrow or later on.

Hi, your OC might be stable in everything else but BF4 does find out if your CPU is fully stable it might not be your GPU?

My CPU at 4.6GHz would pass IBT, Prime, etc but would FAIL in BF4 l upped my CPU voltage a touch no crashing, job done.

Thing is, I was playing it fine before the patch, and I'm playing it fine now in DX mode rather than mantle, which is meant to be harder on the CPU I thought.

Clear ur Mantle cache in the BF4 folder in My Documents.

Then run the DXsetup in the install folder of BF4 (redist folder)

Then do a repair on the game if needed.

And yea BF4 is good at finding an unstable CPU overclock which every other program cant ;)

I thought my 4.6GHz clock was stable until it met BF4. Runs absolutely fine @ 4.5GHz :)

Not according to first post - **Started before the patch, game randomly crashes in between levels.**

Before the patch I could play using Mantle, but now and again between levels when loading it would crash with a Mantle error.

I played it all night last night using DX and I didn't get a single issue.

I now can't load multiplayer at all as it goes to load the level then flickers white and the whole PC freezes.

Clear ur Mantle cache in the BF4 folder in My Documents.

The points go to this man. Did this, went into SP to switch to Mantle, the fired up MP and was able to play all night without crashes.

Guess adding more volts to my CPU could have had the same effect.

Glad to hear it mate.

Good to hear your sorted, as far as fixing/tweaking bf4 to get it to run ok, I've amassed enough tips to write a book.:D

Im telling my my friends to test that fix out, so far for me its working, theBF4.exe ram usage in not claiming, staying around the 4GB mark as before it would be upto 13GBs and unplayable.
