BF4 glitches - Are they mostly fixed now?

Unfortunately they took far too long to fix it, if they even have. It's been sitting unplayed on my PC for months and months. I decided to uninstall it this weekend to make room for better games. Don't think I will ever buy another BF game, which is quite sad for me as ive been playing them from the very start.

The "netcode" is still bad and nothing will really sort that short of ripping it all out and redoing it from scratch - the recent patch papered over a lot of cracks ("netcode" wise) and has actually sorted quite a few issues but still a lot of rotten stuff - still get problems moving around some stuff i.e. unable to strafe over small steps, etc. still getting invisible objects/leaves and stuff blocking bullets, etc. as mentioned above.

The first time I jumped in the firing range after patching automatic weapons were acting funny (the longer burst I fired the more delayed bullets became until it got to the point where bullets were still impacting on a wall 5 meters away 3 seconds after I'd stopped firing) though I've not been able to reproduce it since but still shows the underlying game engine is ****.

Don't think I'll be getting back into the game - having gone back and played COD4, etc. a bit its put into perspective how bad it actually is and I'm struggling to play it since. (There are some very good things about the game but personally I can't get past sloppy half arsed implementations of the basic mechanics - I need that stuff to be seamless to support my game style and other games manage it).

Its plays fine for me but just dosent seem as fluid as BF3. I cant really put my finger on it but the games just dont seem to flow like they do in BF3. Also I am not overly impressed with the BF4 maps.

Bf4 is awful, yey they took a year to turn it into bf3 with poor hitreg.

Waste of time/money and supported (or lack of) by a bunch of idiots who only want your money and don't give a damn about your gaming experience

ARMA 3 now is amazing mate. When A3 first came out it wasn't that bad but now it's awesome. A3 Wasteland on Chernarus rocks 60fps in Cherno itself. I am getting a new PC to play it.

CCG guys are really putting some effort in

I was a huge fan of Arma 2 mate, massive in fact, but the engine ruined it for me. Performance was so bad, and I had a rig twice the recommended rig maybe even more. DayZ is the same, the way it performs today on my current rig is car crash. I did play Arma 3 when it launched at a friends because I was rather cautious about buying it after the way 2 performed. In the first few weeks or months, I read so many bugs and peoples complaints I just moved on and got involved in other shooters. Maybe it's worth checking it out again.

Just catching up on this thread and this game most certainly seems to be a bit of a 'martmite' type one.

Is the single player part of the game any good? I always play that part too. I know some don't but if I buy a game I always play all of the content. Mostly in the hope that by the time I've finished the SP part I won't get totally destroyed on the MP servers :D

The single player is terrible - I would skip. I wouldn't buy premium as the expansion packs are rubbish and the premium 'benefits' are not worth the extra cash.

My 2 Cents:

- The Patch has made a pretty big change to the core game, and to me, hit reg and lag have been better (SO FAR)
- The game is much better optimised in its current state than it was at release
- The game was fun from Day 1, but bugged to hell. I would say at least 80% of those launch issues are now resolved
- Premium has been great as an overall package, but some of the maps have been very hit and miss
- I prefer BF3 overall, but it has been uninstalled since BF4 was out
- Not touched SP as of yet
