BF4 need help pls

Hi all, I on the part where I have to blow up the Dam. I need to jump on a ladder to get across. I cannot do this whether I'm drunk or sober.

I have seen some vids on YT but they all do it! Am I missing something

From memory, you either have to jump before your chums or after - could be that clipping the other grunts is causing you to fail the jump (also happens on ladders).

Also, are you doing a sprinting jump with Shift, rather than just the standard jog?

Thanks dude but my save game has got FUBAREd need to start the level again.
Tried sprint, holding knife, pressing E!! no one in front.
I got further on this game being drunk The wife is going to Finland on Sat so will have plenty of time to try again
