BFBC2 crashing badly

Not true, a pair of gaming headphones that use USB and integrated sound chip in the volume control dongle thing will circumvent the onboard sound, friend did this and fixed this horrific bug, I got a Xonar DG and fixed it. It's almost definitely the drivers. It even did the same thing in BF2.
I hate you realtek, it's personal now.

Why is it only realtek that offer onboard sound? Why can't other manufacturers make them?
Asus make soundcards yet cant put that technology onto their motherboards?
Sounds like a conspiracy to me.

Hmm I have started having crashes recently. First it was crashing with the "brrrrr" sound and a black/grey screen which then went on to reset my pc. Updated some realtek sound drivers and that stopped. Now what I'm getting is a bsod and a reset after about 30mins play time. Not managed to see what error numbers it is though.

I have a spare sound card back on my barracks so when I'm off leave I will chuck that in and see if that sorts anything.

Works the same in Windows 7. Will allow you to read the error message without it automatically restarting.

I'm getting a lock up too, quite badly today and since installing a HD6950 but also once a week on my previous grfx card, a HD4890. I played last night for hours with not a single crash. When it crashes I usually get a sound stuttering that loops the last played sound in my Asus DX over and over until I reboot. I've only once or twice had a c2d.

I have Realtek sound drivers installed for use with my speakers so I will try that.

I will also try playing on a non-pb server and see if it remains stable.

I just installed a xonar dg.

Exact same issue. No problems on a 6950 whatsoever before. Its the sound and a soundcard, I m sure. This is my go to game, so I know my oc is good on it, with room to spare.

If anyone fixes please post.
