BFBC2 OR MOH

So 76% is now not weighted towards positve as opposed to negative. 100 being perfect, 50 in the middle. 76 leans towards the more positive end or am I missing something.

And are reviews irrelevant unless they prove your point? Considering most of the big game review sites fall on the average score of 75-76.

Rather than following the big numbers glued onto the ends of reviews, perhaps you should read some of them. If you're telling me that the 6% share drop that EA suffered wasn't due to the reviews, what is it then?

Didn't say everyone was, nor did I say the game was perfect. I was just pointing out there is a good chuck who think the game is worth playing.

Have I jumped on anyone slating the game? No. You're citing your opinion as fact, the reasons you give for not liking the game are subjective at best. Your well entitled to your opinion but because you don't like it doesn't mean its abysmal.
You've a lot of people in this thread that were discrediting the game without providing any redeeming features of it.

I've stated my opinion as opinion, if you don't like it go cry me a river. It's not going to change. I think the game is of poor quality compared standards that should be expected of a AAA title.

Give reasons to why you like it, don't discredit other peoples opinions as hate.

The multiplayer game isn't broken, its not bug ridden, its pretty well balanced yet the game is abysmal? Ill get off my high horse when you get your head out of your own ****.

lol your funny, my head is up my rear because I have a negative opinion about the game? I know you've already discredited the steam statistics as they don't paint a full picture of the number of players. However, have you considered that they are painting a clear picture of the decline in people playing the game?

Release weekend, it was the 8th most popular game on steam, it's now barely in the top twenty. People are clearly getting bored with it already.
A game does not have to be bug ridden, broken or unbalanced to be boring and meh.

You can say all it's the haters and the whiners that are killing the game, rather than people just not liking it. When this game is dead and buried before chrimbo it'll be the developers fault. Not "whiners".

OP you said your only fps is MW2, just wait for black ops as im sure if you can play mw2 you can play black ops.

It will be familiar to you but with new maps and guns and a great single player experience, but still with that action based run and gun gameplay in multiplayer that im guessing you enjoy with MW2.

I myself enjoy BC2 but it is slower paced with much larger maps then MW2, and judging from the MOH betas i cant reccomend it.

I just look at some of the early september gameplay of Black ops wasn't really appealed to it after look at bcbf2 unrealistic 3 engine. It's just so cool. So I'm really stumped over which one to get now. My friend who has never played a first person shooter said he would rather buy battle field and I can't even try asking my other fiend because they think Call of Duty is better than everything else.

I'm OP BTW

erm don't think I mentioned the shares you did? Couldn't give a damn on stocks, I don't get my game information from the financial times etc.

I said you were well entitled to your opinion but your opinion is on things that are subjective, just because you don't like something doesn't instantly make it abysmal.

Erm, don't think I claimed it the be anything. Just said that steam only tracks what was purchased on steam?

Weekend probably the key word, release weekends are always huge. Ultimately I'd always expect player counts to go down. BC2 really suffered from this as well.

Its not killing it per-se.. but those on the fence are bombarded with the consistenly outspoken whiners. Its the case for anything remotely subjective on these forums. You get the same people battering the hell out of a thread. Things don't get a chance.

CS:S, BC2, COD:MW2 all on their own merits are great games but the whiners/boycotters(lol) always stomp their feet and paddy. CS:S had the 1.6 crowd. BC2 has the BF2 crowd, MW2 had the whole shabang.

Anyway I'm bored now, thanks for assisting me in burning a couple of hours at work though. Appreciated on the skeleton shift :)

Out of the two in the OP I'd say BC2 will probably give you the most if you liked MW2.

Out of the OP, I'd get BF2 :) Will definitely run on your laptop and is a great game.

Well, regardless of whether you find them interesting or not, it's clear that due to the reception of MoH by the press, EA have taken a significant hit. Hopefully, it'll be enough to make them consider the quality of games before they release them.

I said you were well entitled to your opinion but your opinion is on things that are subjective, just because you don't like something doesn't instantly make it abysmal.

Maybe abysmal is a strong word that I used to get my feelings of the game across. However, the game is still exceptionally poor compared to the standard that could have been easily achieved.
I feel it's a rushed attempt to be out before COD:BO.

I'd expect them to go down, but not comparative to other games which is what's happened.

I'm going to avoid commenting on this to avoid drawing it out to a long futile arguement, I still don't see people voicing their opinions as whining. I think they're generally justified in their opinions and voice actual concerns with the game.

I'd rather not steal this blokes thread over this.

Not a problem. ;)

bad company 2

And get Team Fortress 2 as well - I have something like 500 hours on it. (Bad company I have about 140 hours which is still a lot)

MoH lasted about 2 hours for me

In my experiance BC2 only just runs smoothish (35fps) on a 8800GTX and E6600 and almost all low settings. Because laptop graphics are typically lower clocked, I think running BC2 online might be pushing it a bit.

hmmm ok i was going to storm onto this thread and say BFBC2!!!! but if its for a low spec lappy then... maybe MoH would be best for you :)

In my experience, BC2 runs smoothly on fairly high settings with an 8800GT and an AMD X2 5600

i bought moh today and regret it already. its rubbish. the gameplay isnt even as good as the original mohaa.

Having not played MOH, I can only recommend BC2. very good game.

However with your lappy specs, it will struggle big time, if it even runs, even with settings on low, so I wouldn't get either, just wait for Black ops or like has been said build your own rig.

There's a line between disliking a game and not dwelling on it, and disliking a game to the point of flaming it. If you're executing the latter regularly, then you need to take a look at yourself and accept you don't like it and move on.

I disliked it as i lost the enthusiasm i had during the closed and open beta, that was the main culprit for me disliking the game, but i know at some point i'll go back to it when i'm bored of other stuff as i know some of the people flaming it will too.
