Hi All,
this is probably going to be a fairly lengthy post.
i am not having much luck with my new set up in general, where i am enjoying the speed of my new rig i am having a lot of issues with the image and text clarity on my new system and im desperately tring to find out which component or software is at fault or if its somthing im not doing.
on my new system i have Windows Vista 64 and a BFG 285 with the latest drivers. sitting next to my new system is my old system which has Windows XP and A Geforce Ti 4400 AGP graphic card in it...
now to my trained artistic eye my old system is far far clearer with text & images than my new one. in general my new system is much more blurry, it seem totally absurd to me that a Brand new computer can look even worse that than a computer that is 6 years old. does anyone have any ideas why this could be happening, is their something i am not doing right or whatever. its beginning to drive me insane!
im using the same 17" 1080 x 1024 monitor when looking at both my old trusty iiyama Prolite E431S and am switching DVI cables from one computer to the other.
from my own thoughts i have deduced that it could be Vista (this is just the way it is a blurry mess) or it could be the BFG?
the BFG is making a wired whining sound to which i have already discussed here : http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17992633
i have 4 days left if i want to RMA this card (if i find out is its not working 100%) i dont really want to but i don't want a card that is not right, or going to give me the clarity i need.
can anyone please help me out, as i really have seen many vista systems that are very clear much clearer than mine currently, i am also considering installing XP 64 to see if it is indeed vista.
thx in Advance
im really quite concerned about this now.
Paul.
