BFG RMA experience

Just a quick note to highlight my very positive BFG RMA experience I just had. I bought a BFG 7800GT OC with a lifetime guarantee a couple of years back from OcUK and it's had a lot of use since then. It recently started to initialise only half the time, often requiring multiple reboots before the display kicked in. I sent it back to the Welsh RMA centre and in less than a week of it arriving there, a GFX 9600GT OC had arrived on my doorstep by FedEx. The new card is significantly better - it supports DX10 (the 7800GT didn't), is faster, has twice the memory, and is quieter too. So thanks BFG!

The only thing I would comment on, in the spirit of helping BFG improve the RMA service even further, is that the RMA status wasn't kept up-to-date on their website. The replacement card arrived days before it even said it had been despatched. However, if it's a choice between the getting the card quickly and having a quicker web site status update I know what I'd choose!

So all in all, an excellent service. :D

I went to the support section of the BFG website and initially filled out a form detailing my problem. An email response by BFG requested that I fill out the RMA form, again on their site (they also put a link to it in the email IIRC). If you ever have a problem it is easy to find and submit.

They are just brilliant to be honest, and are the only card manufacturer i will buy if i can help it.

I'm finding the RMA experience painful. They haven't replied to two of my emails, and are taking their sweet time with sending me a new card. Been a week now and still only at stage 2 of the RMA.

big warranties are one of the key things ati is missing, as i understand diamnond have very long warranties but we never see their cards over here

Hey Andy, try emailing Jeff ([email protected]). He has helped a lot of folks here as well as myself. He really does make life easier :)

Im sad to say in my experience BFG is very much let down by the UK side of the operation (some dodgy folks in bargoed - i know, i visited them) hopefully they are looking into this as Jeff led me to believe they had been letting a few folks down recently..
