Hi

I have had a BFG 8800 GTX for some time now, purchased from OCuk. I am enquiring about going SLI. However, on looking for the card on the website I can't find it! They now have somthing called the BFG 8800 GTX OC... which has a faster clockspeed. (My Version: 575 Mhz > OC Version: 600mhz)

This leaves me with a problem. As you are aware sli suggests you have same card Manufacturer and model.. I have looked all over the net and the only results for the vanilla, first released 8800 GTX which I have, comes with a price tag of £400 plus! Needless to say, I aint paying that.

This leaves me but with 2 options. Buy a plain 8800 GTX from a different Brand, (will this even work?). Or buy 2x completely new cards.

Any suggestions?? There must be other people in the same situation with BFG...

Thanks

I'm pretty sure the GTX OC would work fine, it's the same card except pre-overclocked for you. So if you just clock your existing GTX to the same speed (i.e. +25Mhz on the core and whatever on the memory) then bingo, you have your very own, GTX OC. :)
