BFG Tech support

Sorry to jump into the good feedback with this but reading this thread I must just be unlucky, my 8800GTX packed up, filled in the support web form. Waited 2 days for an email telling me it'd have to be RMA'd and asking for more details (including the information on the web form :s) Replied same day, 2 days later got a new email asking for serial number (turns out its not the label marked S/N), replied same day, that was 10 days ago - left it a week before prodding them - now getting no response to my emails :(

Better add BFG to my ****list :/

Just call them up, it takes 10-15 minutes if that. The bloke I talked to was extremely helpful.

Tell them the problem, give them your name, address, serial on the card, get an e-mail in 5 minutes with the RMA # and address in wales. Bang, done.

In order to register my new BFG card last week I had to scan & email my OC receipt in order to validate the warranty, when you register it then tells you to send a pop showing where & when you bought it & price paid.

I assume that's something that's changed recently. My card was purchased January last year, I never registered it or sent any information in.

Excuse my lack of knowledge, but what exactly is RMA?

:)

In connection with such Limited Lifetime or Ten Year Warranty, all BFG graphics cards introduced on or after February 21, 2008 must be registered on www.bfgtech.com within thirty (30) calendar days of the original purchase date to activate the limited lifetime warranty or limited ten (10) year warranty. Products not properly registered will be covered from the date of purchase by a two (2) year limited warranty in Europe and a one (1) year limited warranty in the US and other countries. Proper registration includes submitting proof of purchase to BFG.

Howdy,

It's a silly thing i know, but I just bought a BFG 9800GTX, yes i know what you're thinking, but i wanted the ability to output audio through DVI to HDMI :)

The website i bought it from listed the contents as containing a 6ft DVI to HDMI cable and a S/PDIF cable for connecting the it to my X-Fi card. Upon opening the box, guess what, no cables... quick look at the BFG Tech website confirmed my suspicions and had them listed as 'optional'

I only really wanted the S/PIDF cable, so I sent an e-mail to BFG asking how I might purchase one either from them directly or a UK stockist and they sent me a mail back saying 'no problem, we've put one in the post for you'

good customer care methinks....I know it's a matter of pence, but it's the little things that count...

cheers,

Muddy.
