Biffy Clyro - Only Revolutions

I know what you mean. I absolutely adore most of their older stuff. Puzzle was a great album but I think the likes of Blackened Sky suit them much better so I'm very interested to see what they've produced this time around.

Can't wait. Shame I'll be seeing them before the album gets released and won't know the words :(

That's what happened for me with Puzzle. Look on the bright side though: you get to experience the album in a whole new way. :D

Order Summary:1 x Only Revolutions Collector's Box Set:Limited Edition Collector's Boxset @ 39.99 GBP

I really shouldn't have bought that but I just couldn't resist. :o

I'm treating myself. :)

I'm going to listen when my boxset turns up.

Apparently they've chopped up that blue flag and put in the collector's boxsets now.

I forgot to mention, my boxset came on Friday. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet as I've been a little pre-occupied. I will give it a listen at some point during the week and report back. :)

Here's some pics of my boxset for you all to enjoy: :D

Just had a listen and I love it. Definitely worth every penny. :D

And yes, it sounds fantastic cranked up to eleven!

EDIT:

Stand out tracks for me have to be:

Born On A Horse
Many of Horror
Know Your Quarry

Of course, we're all familiar with The Captain, That Golden Rule, and Mountains now, but I really enjoy these songs too.

Bubbles is very catchy, but it does slightly feel a little marketed - similar to what I experienced when I first heard The Captain. However, the more I listen to it - as with The Captain - the more I find that I'm enjoying it. Only time can tell with these things, but the album overall has lived up to my expectations and we all know what a cynical sod I am. ;)

I thought I'd say I got to see Biffy a few months ago in London at the Hammersmith Apollo. It was really great to see them again, and the songs did not disappoint live either. My only gripe really was that when Biffy played some of their old stuff like Justboy or Glitter and Trauma, not many people seemed to know the words at all.

It's good that the fan-base is increasing, but it was a bit of a downer that not everyone was singing their hearts out to the classics. :o

Yeah, I was expecting the gig to be teeming with die-hard fans, but it felt like they'd just recently heard them on the radio and went to see the new stuff. I saw them in Plymouth a few years ago now when they supported Bloc Party (around the time Puzzle came out I believe) and the crowd there were much better. Shame really. They're one of the few bands I'd absolutely love to be part of an intimate set. It's a bit rubbish when people are looking at you funny because you know the words to the older stuff too. :p

What can I say? I like having a drink and sing-along. I don't do it that often. :D

...and you've just reminded me that I took a few videos on my old school camera, cleverly disguised as a brick. I must get around to uploading them at some point.

Nix, did you get Lonely Revolutions? It's awesome!! I got the CD and the limited vinyl bundle with signed print. :D

I'm afraid not. Money had to go on other things. Any chance of some pics? :D

EDIT:

Tempted to buy it on CD album for £9.99. Gutted I've missed out on the signed print though.
