To cut a long story short looks like trying older (21.1) drivers has hosed the OS.

I had a 5830 in my wife's PC, pretty well the same as in my sig. added a second one, both XFX. I kept getting the second card showing as disabled. I tried removing cards swapping them around, reinstalling drivers +cap 12.1. Trying different crossfire bridges but no luck.

Tried similar things tonight then thought I'd try the 12.1 drivers. Uninstalled the 12.4's and installed the 12.1's which stopped responding half way through and sat at a black screen. Left it for 10mins or so and nothing so tried a reboot. Nothing, no response from my keyboard or the monitor. I have removed one card, reset CMOS and tried booting with a WIN7 disc in and still nothing:(

Any ideas what next? Am I going to have to remove the SSD and use another driver to get it up and running again?

I guess the best bet is to instal the OS on another hdd then connect the SSD and reformat it?

No one with any thoughts on this? Thought there would at least be as comment about bad AMD drivers ;) Have to say I'm surprised it has messed up the drive so badly...
