I had no idea where to put this but I figured as there's a desk gallery I figured here would be relevent-ish.

I'm moving into student accomodation and I'm looking for a six foot ish desk. Needs to be at least 5ft or so. Looking to fit a TV on it, one or two monitors /w mouse etc and some room to write on it. I've seen some pictures of large desks but I can't source them at all.

Help? I don't really want it to be really deep though as I'm rather limited in that department. Normal desk depth is what I'm looking for ~20-25 inches.

i went down to b&q, bought wood and put mine together (with the help of my father)
diy can be cheaper/dearer but takes a while and knowledge of construction. Though, you can design it the way you want it and to fit your room.

if you cant be bothered, ikea, argos, homebase, amazon would be your best bet
any of those can have some nice cheap computer desks from time to time

Wicks.

400mm X 2400mm plane white Worktop. £26

Then just plug a screw some 2"X2" PAR timber to the wall. And either use chrome legs from wicks.

Will cost you maximum of £40 for a massivly long desk. And you could also cut it to what ever leangh you want.

Go down to a hardwear store grab a Worktop for a kitchen, sand it down, grab a pot of paint and paint it, the only problem is, with the matt I used it didn't want to dry quick so its got loads of finger marks. So give it time xD. You can pick up 4 legs from ikea. I will link them link as promised

£99 a week with En suite and water/electric/interwebs etc... included :)

Got a massive Ikea worktop with two filing cabinets underneath for mine

I take it that's halls though. I'm in my second year so I'm in private now. My halls were £101 a week with everything included in the nicest location ever :P.

Now I live above a corner shop in an area which when a friend visited had blood all over the street. Woop woop.
