Big Problem with new HDD

I just bought one of these from oc.ock last week. Today when it turned my pc on, the HDD wouldn't turn on! What can i do?

I have just over 100gb of data stored on there and now i'm afraid its gone forever.

Can i return this if theres nothng i can do to fix it?

Can you give us a bit more detail please.

Is the external drive just dead or does it light up when you power it on? Can you hear the HDD inside spin up? Have you checked all the daft things - power & data connected OK, tried different ports on the PC?

It does nothing. The LED doesn't light up, no sound,no nothing.I've checked the connections and its all plugged in fine. I guess the only thing i can do is return it?

Yup, that sounds like a return is the only option. Don't expect to get your data back though.

SUCCESS!! I changed the main adapater and its now working! MY precious files are alive!
