Hi all.Yesterday I finally assembled my PC and it worked perfectily all day long and today as well until I overclocked the CPU a little from 7x333 Mhz to 7x360 Mhz.Everything worked fine until I noticed that my CPU got from Idle temperature off 35 degrees C to 51 degrees. So I restarted the pc and entered in the BIOS to change the clock back to 7x333 Mhz.But immediately after I entered to lower the frequency the PC powerd off.I tried to turn it back on but after 5 secs it powers off again and after that powers on by itself and so on.What its happening.

Here are the specs:GigaByte GA-X48-DS5 F8C Bios,Intel Quad Core Q8200,2x1GB RAM DDR2 800 Mhz,XFX HD4870 1GB,HDD Samsung 160 GB and the PSU is OCZ ModXStream 500 W.

All the parts are bought from OC.

You could try resetting the CMOS to restore bios defaults. Look in mobo manual and it will show you the correct jumper on the board to move :)

I also forgot to mention that I updated the bios to F8C and then overclocked the CPU.So do you think I should call OC and ask them about this problem?I took off all the components and left only the CPU and the MB.The PSU runs and powers up the MB.The lights next to the RAM that show if power is going into the MB are on.If i try to turn it on it starts but after 2-3 secs the CPU fan stops spinning but there is still power going into the motherboard since the LEDs are still on.

I did all that and hasn't fixed the problem.I think that the MB died.I'm a bit surprised that a GigaByte MB died after 1 day of use.I think that I will send the MB back. But I want to ask you something. If I tell OC to send me the Foxconn BlackOps Intel X48 instead of this one will they agree and it's even 10 punds cheaper.

Only they will be able to answer that. If purchased within 7 days you can return under DSR. After that it will be at retailer discretion (IIRC). Give them a call.
