Hi,
Just been fixing a friends PC after loads of hassle Ifinally got it sorted. Unfortunately all this work is about to go to waste if I can't get past this problem that has just ocurred.
I edited the boot file for windows to sort out a prompt during bootup and I cannot now boot into windows I get a big error message. "Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem..." etc.
I have booted from the Windows XP install cd in an attempt to run the recovery console so that I can gain access and sort out the boot issue in windows. It has prompted me for the administrator password which I haven't even set anyway. I have tried "password" and just hitting enter and this doesnt work. Does anyone know what the default administrator password is or a work around this please?
Totally desperate here, hope someone can help. Thanks
