See, this is the cable I'm talking about. Runs down the middle of the Waterblock?

Hey Tarman
I believe I may have found the issue
I have this exact same card and I came across a warning from EKWB this week.
I'll have to keep this mind when I put a ek block on my own Strix.
The issue is that ASUS has modified the PCB slightly in recent batches by adding some extra glue to the corner of the die.
This glue interferes with the the stand off mounts around the die.
All you need to do is use a remove those four stand off mounts with pliers by un-screwing them

I trimmed the heat pads.. that pic was a 'before'; shot I suppose..
Shifted the cable.. I honestly couldn't see anywhere on the card where the cable could go.. so it's flowing externally on the card at the moment. which is fine.. I can live with that. strange it didn't come with it pre-packed behind the plexi.
Performance is much much better.. 44c for The Division 2 now.. only under 74% load; so will keep an eye on it.. see how it is when things get a bit more hectic ingame.
that was pointed out to him in the first 3 posts of this thread, he has already done the mod.
Glad you sorted it out dude, with such a nice gpu @Tarman
What's that program you used to monitor usage and temps?
