Biggest Letdown This Generation

Mario Kart Wii.

I assumed Mario Kart DS greatness + Wii controls would equal the best Mario Kart ever. It turned out to be the worst.

Then you really are a lost cause. Why did you pay £175 for a wireless adapter (£18 wireless bridge) and XBL (£23 at the absolute max for 13 months)?

I was speaking from my experience. That's not what I paid when I bought the consoles.

It doesn't really matter and we're squabbling over nothing. The thread was about games (I think it should have been) and I don't think Uncharted was the most disappointing game of this generation, not by a long shot.

Still thinking about it, as nothing I've personally bought has disappointed me a huge amount, but I will have to agree with some of the sentiment about Assassin's Creed being very different to what we were told prior to launch. I hated how assassinations actually made up a minor part of the gameplay and planning was not required nearly as much as was emphasised.

That said I did complete it (though it was too short to excuse), and the graphics/environments were damn good. I just thought it went to waste somewhat when it came to the gameplay and combat.

What bandwagon? The bandwagon in this thread has been saying things like Halo 3 or PS3 without giving any sort of reason, just posting purely because the person is logged in but has nothing to say.

I said that nothing has truly disappointed me, but felt like giving a special mention.

You dont think people already had an idea in their head before this thread appeared. I didn't need a thread to remind me of the games that have dissapointed this gen for me personally.

Assasins creed (though I did enjoy it a became a chore towards the end)
Bioshock (also enjoyed but it has no replayability and was rather short and I felt short changed with no replay value)

The Nintendo Wii, so crap i bought one twice in the false hope that the games had improved over the last year or so. how wrong i was. Ah well, can't say i didn't try.

Nintendo Wii - best game on it is the one that comes bundled free

Motorstorm - my first PS3 game, crock of ****, taken back within the week.

Crysis - It's Far Cry all over again, with the same flaws, but more annoying.
