just liked the idea of wannabedamned's favourites thread but i thought a biggest letdown thread would also show the other side of the scale well
please keep this thread only about software as hardware favouritism will make this just 'another fanboy war' thread


my big letdown has to be Halo3

whats yours?

Bioshock, so much effort went into presentation and atmosphere but the game play itself was shallow and repetative

Shock, wrench, shock, wrench.

By the point i gave up i was beating big daddies to death on normal difficulty. I suppose i could have restated in Hard difficulty but i was too far in to want to bother.
 
Uncharted for me. I was expecting a game as good as Tomb Raider Anniversay but with vastly superior graphics. In the end it just didn't compare for me.
 
I'd say Halo 3 but for me I wasn't really expecting it to be all that after not really enjoying Halo 2.

Biggest let down for me, personally, has been the Pro Evo games. 6 and 2008 were both terrible on the 360.

Joking, I'm not really a lame, unimaginative ****er who wants all my games full of linear corridors and only one route.

yeah it should either be 2 or 10 i dont get the 13 bit unless its a REALLY deep nerd in-joke.

Let downs for me this year,

Halo 3 - i was new to the series and after having heard so much hype i was expecting a half-life beater but its nowhere near.

GTA4 - great game but over too quick and i somehow feel like we are being milked by R* (redoing the PS2 games over again in a new engine)

Bioshock - Cant even be bothered to play past the first level, i should give it a chance but then again maybe the game should try harder!
 
Assassins Crud.

Could have been so much more, lazy, dull, easy and a combat system that would make a disney game proud.

Kids will be wow'd by the graphics.
 
Bioshock.

RPG my rear end. I admit the storyline was superb and I enjoyed my first play through. I couldn't even handle playing it a second time round because it just felt like Doom 3 all over again.
