Biggest official GC memory card?

Just a quick one, it the 251 the largest GC memory card that Nintendo make?

EDIT: Found it on the Nintendo website, that says it is... I thought they were making a bigger one?

In the UK yes. However in Japan the official 1019 was released. Just received my second one last week as they will cram loads of game saves compared to the other official versions (251 and 59).

Can buy them from various sites for £18-£20 approx, before delivery and import tax.

Absolutely. Memory cards will work in all regions. I have 2 x 1019 and a 251 for each region; PAL, US and Japanese games. Otherwise the cube tries to format cards from another region, which is a real pain.

Hold on, don't quite get you.... Will I be able to save PAL games on a japanese/american card?

Yes but not a mix of regions. You can only save PAL OR US OR Japanese game saves on any card, not a mix of the 3.

cant you buy a gamecube memory card that takes SD cards, surely then you are only limited by the size of the SD card you can use

Yep, just like Kree said you can use memory cards from other regions, but you are limited to game saves from the same region on each card.

The SD card adaptor only works with certain games with the adaptor logo on the back. Unfortunately this was/is limited to a few Japanese region games. So this becomes something for the collector.
