How many fans can I actually run off of one?

I would think with my new build Ill have 8x140mm fans and atleast 4 120mm. Would it be possible to run all those off it? Or better to just have the rad fans on it and volt mod the rest?

no one knows?
I know it has four fan header's. But can I say run atleast 8 fans off those headers, or indeed more. Whats the power draw I can get away with?

Should be in the manual. I want one for my scratch build project. I believe it's 20w per channel on analogue, 50w per channel on pwm. Definitely check the manual though.

I havent bought it yet. Trying to figure out if its worth it, but thanks for the info.

From what Ive read your bang on, thing is, Im not sure how many fans can run on that.

What's the power draw of each fan? Should be in the fan specs. Once you have this you can answer your question.

Indeed, 20w per channel on the analog, not sure on the digital but once you know the power draw you can do the math and work out if you can do it

I run 8 fans on there but have run more, got 4 scythe 1600rpm fans on one channel at the moment and not an issue

That's because they don't give the ampere draw of the fans in the spec. Maybe it's on the label on the fan? Then you can work out the wattage used.

12v x Amp = Watts

aha, thank you for that, sir.

On the label there is 12v 0.30A. So, by your formula it uses 3.6watts.

Which means I can run 5 total on analogue by your earlier statement. But 22 if I run in PWM?!?
Now I thought PWM used 4 pins but I only see 3 pin headers on the BigNG, so I assume you can run any fan in PWM mode on it? Which would surely be the way forward.
