bike4work scheme

You can save loads especially when you go up the value of the bike. I got a Brompton S6L Titanium last year, but it does of course favour (in terms of savings) higher rate tax payers. I have done it a total of four times now, I have worked for big corporates and they don't charge disposal costs etc.

Nice part of the world :)

Great place for cycling
It's not bad with cardingham Woods, Lanhydrock ect, the camel trail can get very very hectic from Wadebridge to Padstow, but it's the nicest bit.
Used to enjoy the canal routes when I lived in Yorkshire, brighouse to hebdon Bridge ect

I know the OP is long gone (thread is 9 years old), but anyone enquiring about this should check with their employer. It's called Cycle to Work btw, so it's best to use that phrase otherwise it might confuse them.

Since covid though, there has been a shortage of bikes and other fitness equipment, so I imagine there is a postcode lottery atm.

I can't believe how much bikes have gone up in the last year. I was looking at a bike last year that was £1700 that now retails for £2100. Boo.

Yeah, bike prices have gone mental recently. I got lucky though, picked mine up in December for £1150 and then a month or two later it had jumped to £1500.
