Well, biker (singular) anyway. driving to work today, up a busy high street. The traffic is stationary (no, not like paperclips) going the other way, I come up to a junction, with a car turning right out of a junction on the left, so he is most of the way across my side of the road waiting for a gap to pull in. the traffic in front of me is going around behind him. As i come up and go around him this retard on a bike decides to pass behind him also, but he is travelling the OPPOSITE way, ie he is heading straight towards the oncoming traffic on the wrong side of the road pretty much in the middle. I step on the brakes and immediately skid (wet road) luckily I managed to let off and brake again quickly and control it. Otherwise the little **** would have put a dent in my bumper (ok he probably would have died, but Darwin would be resting happily in his grave)

[/rant]

sorry just needed to get it off my chest, they irritate me sometimes.

You know hes probably bitching on another forum about how this Driver Didnt see him today and almost killed him :p

probably, but he was on the wrong side of the road, i was well below the speed limit, and i'm pretty sure it's illegal to overtake like that, if not it's downright stupidity, pulling out into oncoming traffic with no line of sight on a flimsy crappy motorbike.

hehe, thought people would! must admit i did it deliberately :D. tbh that section of road is quite bad with bikers, they can't overtake the people in the jam so they either have to sit behind virtually frothing at the mouth like rabid dogs, or cut people up to squeeze round the pedestrian islands when the traffic creeps forward. not all bikers are bad though obviously, might become one someday even.

So He nearly Died and you Nearly got a Dented bumper. Poor you. Life is So hard sometimes a ???

Bikers are quite often just car drivers on 2 wheels. And we know what pillocks we meet on 4 wheels, getting on a bike doesn't improve on this.

The worst are usually scooter riders and 50/125 riders followed by sportsbike riders(that includes me).

That was meant to be sarcastic, guess it didn't come across too well :) would have been entirely his fault; given the conditions, i was driving slowly and carefully - i guess the reason he chose to pull out then was becuase i had left a decent sized gap between me and the car in front to allow me time to brake if i needed to.

What a knob... What annoys me with bad riding is that it's more often intentional than accidental. Seems to me that with bad car driving, as often as not it's incompetence or carelessness.

Car drivers need to stop moaning, do a bike test and get out on 2 wheels - ease the congestion in the world to 0 (probably) :p ;)

here here.

Then again you can't tar all bikers with the same brush (I've edited the title accordingly ;)). Just as there are bad drivers. Glad nothing happened - hope that you'll be able to recover from your experience soon.
