Bikers Youtube thread

the worst bit is that they threw acid at the biker! burned through his rucksack etc but his face is ok thankfully :o

Makes me so angry seeing this, Im never violent but people like that I'd love to get hold of and slap once or twice............ HARD!!!!

If the police aren't interested in bike theft, I ****** well hope they bother their backsides to hunt these little idiots down for throwing acid! Cant get my head around something as horrible as that, especially in this country.

Yup, surely with all the electronics available on bikes these days they could make a complete engine lock that can only be unlocked by that bikes unique key fob. They could still lift it in to the van but the bike would be useless.

I know some have something like this where the bike can only be started by a dealer, but I guess it isn't very well implemented or not used much.

The Honda HISS system is great for this, you can't start the bike without the genuine key and another key that gets cut won't start the bike either.

They've that chip inside the key, you can also get 2 keys. 1 restricts your bike and the other is full power. The Honda I rode had that, 1 key restricted it to 47bhp and the other was full power so they can use it for A2 and DAS. :)

Shame the CBR650F is so pricey, I can have a nice R6 or GSXR for that money. :(

I thought most bikes had a similar system at least? My 11 year old Hornet even has HISS, so are the thieves just getting around these key systems, or do most bikes not have something as good?

I'm surprised manufacturers have not developed an anti push away system yet.

I reckon it would not be too much effort to have an electronic system which engages a lock on the shift lever/clutch. Such that you could park in gear and then lock out the shift lever and clutch actuation with a physical and internal system to prevent neutral being selected.

i suppose though theres always the risk such a system engages by accident while riding, suddenly locking the clutch on the rider.

Probably not worth the risk for an antitheft device.

You can just get the ECU flashed to remove the immobilizer, in case you're wondering I broke mine when I crashed at Pembrey and I didn't want to fork out for a new ignition barrel and ECU.

Those guys are mad putting up raw videos when they're Swiss and riding at an average of over 1.5 times the limit.

A guy got arrested for posting a similar video.

Have a look at their previous videos, if they were to get caught they would have been ages ago. The quality of that video is soo good and that R1M sounds juicy.
