'GIRL'S FOOT RIPPED OFF in crazy motorcycle wreck **WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT**'

I know I don't post here often but this year I started racing and its been a mixed bag of fortune! At my first sound (Silverstone) I went 13th, 8th, 7th & 6th. Last weekend at Cadwell I qualified 5th and finished the first race in 4th then in the next race I was in 4th place chasing 3rd & 2nd when I highsided coming onto the start finish straight. I managed to hold onto the bars despite my legs both being off the same side of the bike but wasn't able to remount before I met the barrier. As it happened the Alex James happened to be on the corner at the time and got plenty of snaps of it!

gutted mate, you're going well. Good on you for starting racing, i always fancied trying the NL Newcomers 600, how is it? would you recommend it?

I don't have any pics of the bike, it is hidden away in the garage while I rest (just bruised). My helmet has a huge dent in it and the metal shoulder and knee protectors are badly damaged on my leathers but still usable, I will call it character :) The bike is surprisingly okay, broken clock bracket and damaged fairing (was already broken from an off on Friday but nothing duct tape can't fix).

@Eddie I have found it to be good so far, the staff are very friendly and the races have been turned around quite quickly. I'm sure you've read the comments on the TDR forums about it being endurance favoured which is true on the Saturday, as a sprint rider you get 10mins of qualifying and 1 race then that your day over unless you do multiple classes. Sunday though is purely sprint with 2-3 hours between races which sounds a lot but is most welcome. If you have any questions feel free to send me some messages on Facebook, or if you decide to do some rounds you're welcome to park up next to us for some (non homo) company ;)

I have found my riding come on a lot just from racing so really recommend it if you want to get quicker. Just be prepared that it will cost a lot, I budget around 1k a meeting (without crashes) but thats coming from Devon each time.

Thanks for the feedback mate - I hope to one day take you up on that :)

Do you stay over at the circuit? like in a caravan or something? or do you stay at a hotel near by?

Budget style, sleep in the van! All of the tracks I've been to so far have showers and you can get in the night before so works out okay. If the weather is rough (Cadwell wasn't brilliant) its not so pleasant. If I could afford a nice motorhome with a garage in the back I would, not sure I can be seen towing a caravan though :p
