Bikers Youtube thread

Awesome vid :) bike is looking really balanced around there too.

That Impreza at 7:15.. Puts into perspective how quickly you come up on people round there, catch them in the wrong place, yikes.

Twice I've been there and both times we've had this..

Third time lucky, next year!

Hope so mate, what time of the year did you go before?

Another 2 trips next year and Spa on the way home again :D

Once in June a few year ago and last year in September (which is when that pic was taken).

I guess as you pass Spa on the way home it's rude not too!

What bike is that Shaken? Loops really nice, just goes to show you don't have to be doing a gazillion miles a hour to have fun :)

Its a 1979 Beamish Suzuki 250 trials bike.
Restored back in Feb after 25+ years in boxes in a cowshed

Interesting, and a great restoration job :)

I looked in to Beamish as this is the first I've heard of them, there's an interesting article here in the unlikely event you haven't read it yet.

Here's an interesting video:

The RG500 really makes a fantastic case for two strokes at 3:50. I love that video, the engine is like "imma take it easy for a bit k?" then it hits 7.5k and it just goes "oh hi, I'm awake now, let's do something fun!"

Hitting the powerband on a two stroke is ridiculous fun, over and over. I'm seriously excercising restraint in not buying an RS125, they're still a bit of a bargain now and will only go up in value as smokers become rarer and rarer.

If I had a garage and the spare cash I'd love to get a nice 2 stroke to fiddle with.

I'm going to be buying either an RS125 or a Cagiva Mito in the next year, hopefully for next summer. I just can't let the smoker itch go unscratched. It'll be locked up and under a tarp outside which isn't ideal but screw it, I must have one, simple as that :p

My problem is I'd want to do any rebuild work and bits like that myself and while working on my SV outside is fine as it's fingers crossed never going to need it's engine stripping down I'm not so sure ripping an engine to bits out on the gravel and in the rain is sensible :D

Just drop it out the bike and take it inside! :D

It's all about life choices and accommodating others. Tell them that their choice is to have a little noise machine that screams, cries and stinks. Then tell them that an engine is quiet, doesn't stink, doesn't ale a mess or chew on the remotes. They'll understand.

Also, two strokes have like 3 moving parts so a rebuild s done in a jiffy if you have the right tools and spares.

Yes, seen it, bought lots of parts from the owners club. The guy that runs it say their are about 900 or so left still running out of the 1900 made of the black engine Beamish. So getting rare now
