Bikers Youtube thread

Like I said to someone on FB the other day.
They're dammed if they do and dammed if they don't, there will be public uproar if they start nailing it after them all and people including bystanders start getting caught up in smashes as a result.

Might as well not bother with having a number plate at the back, they can't chase me so what's the point?

Pretty much this.

As much as it pains me to say it, from a moral and principle point of view - A stolen bike is not worth someones life if it all goes wrong.

As for riding around without a numberplate on the back as a regular law abiding citizen. Why? You will get caught out eventually. It's also an absolutely stupid comparison when looking at the bigger picture.

Moped enabled crime is a huge issue in London, but reverting the no chase policy for a stolen bike is not going to fix that. They will still do it.

+1, a lot of those chavs are teens. I bet most of them would be scared to steal a bike, if there was a risk of them being killed.

It wouldn't even register with them. These are the sort of people who live in a world where most of them carry weapons, as far as they're concerned they're invincible.

Couple deaths would give a good example. ;)

I remember being in my teens and what I got up to (nothing like that). How I am still alive is quite a surprise considering.

These guys won't be put off about a threat unless it's right in front of them...even then more than half will no doubt will still try to escape.

I've done stupid stuff too, but I've never F... with someone's else property. :o

Dead corpse can't steal again, a guy who stole a bike and was not chased by the police. When he rode past them without a helmet, will do it again as he sees that he's above the law...

I just get mad that they have enough police cars to have them cruising around the motorway handing out speeding tickets when real crime is being committed daily and they aren't doing anything to solve it. :(

While I'm all for punishment I'm not really sure Judge Dredd execution by chase style is really the way to deal with theft.

They need drones with nets. Have a gun which shoots a sticky GPS tracker which sticks to a scooter, and a drone then follows it and nets it. Hell, they could make it a sport.

Im sure manufacturers could play a part too, especially on the top end bikes, factory fitted trackers that aren't easily removable, made me sick seeing that video where the dirty thieves made a video and sent it to the guy when they removed his tracker of his bike -_- those sort of scum do deserve to have every single digit removed slowly.
