billion connection prob

wenever ive got billion 7300g in i lose my connection or the i lose the ppp light does anyone have any suggestions it doesnt with my netgear router ?

When you lose the the PPP light, on the Router page does it say "Checking Username and Password" next to IPWAN on the first STATUS page? Could be an authentication problem. Is it set to CHAP?

Next time it happens, log into the Router and see what it says on the main STATS page. What you can do to try and fix the problem is alter the "Coding Gain" option. This can help with losing sync, however, it may create more CRC errors on the line. So basically it's a slight trade off, but most people with the Billion router (including myself) run this value at it's maximum, which is "7".

The option can be found under the ADSL section. :)

Try changing it from AUTO to 7. The line will need to re-sync again (may take a good few minutes). See if that stops the problem.
