They DO pass 24h AVX test. At lest my 2700x from silicone lottery does, Tested at Binned Settings aka 4.2 on all cores with 1.425vcore did 20 hours prime and 10 hours AVX IBT MAX crash free.I paid 100 pounds over OCUK boxed price aka 30% more for that very reason.
Just finished 37 hour rendering project from Halloween Rave. Now need ot upload 60 gigs to Youtube haha.

Have You actually read how procedure for Binned CPU's look ??

"In order to explore the maximum clock values of the binned CPUs and to ensure their stability, der8auer tests each individual sample for at least one hour under Prime95 26.6 with 1344K. Due to this massive continuous load every single processor is thoroughly pre-tested and the clock stability guaranteed, which is why we compensate for the overclocking associated loss of manufacturer 's warranty through its own 24-month King-Mod-Guarantee ."

Thats their proceedure. At least 1 hour prime 95.

Why would you buy a 4.8 or 4.9 bin for more than retail?

Don’t forget the delid and lapping these need, agree it’s odd with lower bins but also pretty sure 8pack/team doesn’t test with Prime on the U.K. binned stock as it’s very extreme. His are longer but less intense loads, it’s detailed somewhere but I can’t remember exactly where. Price also includes a warranty which you will not get for doing it on your tray CPU either.

Anyway, some people are simply not comfortable doing the delid etc themselves, it’s a valid solution for these people. You are of course welcome to do it yourself...

Start a rumour also, potential for decent bins in first batches like the 8700k but lower creeping in later?
