Get a goat, how much does it cost to insure one of those?
Haha! Genuine laugh out loud!Sad thing is, now Muffin owes Vin a 10 second badger.
Though, opposite locking with a DSC enabled car can get messy if you are oversteering. The car will try and correct itself in to the direction you have opposite locked - generally not where you want to go!
Sorry I was thinking of opposite lock quite literally, rather than counter-steeringThat's normally exactly where you want to go; you apply opposite lock to keep the front wheels pointing in more or less the direction you would be travelling if the arse end wasn't hanging out.
A surprising amount. It's the only indication it has of where you want go, and it's designed to believe that input. I.e. if you are going sideways but hold the wheel straight, it's going to assume you want to go in the direction the car is pointing, even if that's currently perpendicular to actual direction. Obviously if you're going sideways it's unlikely to remain at the same sideways angle for long, and as such your intended direction and steering angle should change. In every situation it will do what it can to regain traction and simultaneously point you in the right direction, and it's very effective.I'm not sure how how much say the steering angle sensor has in the stability system when the yaw sensor reports the car is still going sideways.
