Whoop my first Live Arcade game [that I paid for] :D

First impressions; fan-blooming-tastic.
TBH Area01 surprised me, didn't expect (and havent seen on the demo, vids etc) a top-down area, I love it :D

I'm gonna play it a bit more (so not much posting from me today) and then maybe some online multiplayer action

ah I just worked out (after starting a new game) that the top-down bit is only triggerd if you mess about on the selection map, basically when it says you have encounterd an enemy. Coolio :D

I thought it was pretty good so far, just finished the first level. took me a while to work out you had to drag the barrels with your robo arm.

I couldn't work out how to get the ones on the top platform  I got upto the platform but couldn't grab the barrels.
So on 2nd try, i just used one barrel from the first platform, got really close to him and shot the crude out of him to kill him :D

[tip]In Area 00 there is a fire power upgrade ;)[/tip]

Can't find the Secrets in Area 01 though :(

Really enjoying this game so far. Makes a good change from the normal 3D shooters.
Challenge rooms are quite frustrating when trying to get 5 stars though. It seems like its impossible on most levels.

Glad to hear the positive stuff regarding this game.
I've been looking forward to this coming out, for what seems like ages.

Hopefully it'll make it to the UK PSN Store tomorrow as well... though I can't help but feel in the back of my mind that it'll come out everywhere else, and be delayed here... like the other games I'm looking forward to.

Oh well, it's already up on the Jap PS3 store, so hopefully that's a good sign.

I do love these little retro games, have fun everybody :)

Vin.

For anyone else struggling on Area 02 The Sewer here's a video http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/dor/objec...mmando-2d/videos/bc_rearmed_sewer_060208.html
For the life of me I couldn't work out what to do with The Fabricator :o
I also found some switches in the walls (got a database entry when I first hit one) you can pull it out of the wall and it goes back in slowly, christ knows what they are for

Oh and for everyone not sure about this, download the demo! or t least whatch a video review http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/dor/objec...earmed/videos/bcrearmed_vidreview_080808.html

Played the trial today, really polished but I'm struggling to get used to the controls. Feels like I have to keep stopping and thinking about how to aim the claw, would have worked better with the claw as the right stick imo. Still its very polished, might pick it up at the weekend.

Nice looking game, but cant get on with the controls at all. Just feels like hard work doing even basic stuff.

This, Braid and Geometry Wars: retro evolved 2 are on my to buy list.

I have the Demos, Just waiting to unlock the full games. No point until I've finished getting all the achievement in Dead Rising :p

The more you play it the easier/more natural the controls become, it makes more sense after doing the Advanced Training too ;)

If an Arcade game doesn't get me hooked straight away I leave it, I only play them in 5-10 minute bursts anyway.

I'm usualy the same, but this is the first Arcade game I've bought as I think it plays like a "full" game. I found myself playing it for hours yesterday :o

Any idea when the release date is for the ps3 version of this? looks like one i'd play!

Today is the official PS3 launch  unfortunately it's been delayed, other than that I'm not sure.

Agree looks polished but awkward to play dissapointed

prefferd the duke nukem platformer on the pc

gameplay reminds me of poor eighties arcade games like rolling thunder

Rumored for end of august.

I just played the jap demo and its pretty good but I can't get over having no jump button. I guess thats the whole point of having the arm though. I've never played the original, so, I can't compare.

The demo was one big corporate bs tease.

Theres a new trailer on gametrailers comparing the original to this to the new full game. The full game looks far far better than last time I saw it, actually could be good.
