BIOS - Cant Flash Back!! X570-E GAMING

*Partly Solved*
Managed to Flash Back BIOS and no longer have the random shutdowns!, still no idea why the system was unstable with the latest BIOS. thread continues below.

Hi guys, brand new system I have just updated to the latest version of my BIOS as it said added stability for my new memory which I have just installed!
and now I keep getting completely random system shutdowns.

I'm writing very quick incase it does it again, was not getting the shut downs before the latest BIOS flash! :(

I am trying to use the Asus Ez Flash 3 utility which i managed to flash to the latest version with using a FAT32 formatted USB drive.

Now when trying to use the older version on BIOS it wont let me

I get the error "Not a proper BIOS!"

But if I put the newest BIOS on it will flash the same version again, it seems it just doesn't want to let her be flashed back!

is there a manual way to do so I have never really flashed a BIOS before and I wish I hadn't have!:confused:

i tried it with the USB drive in the "BIOS USB PORT" and then tried holding the button Flash back on system reboot and everything but nothing happens at all?

Also, i have jsut noticed in the Asus facility probgram my CPU Frequency keeps dramatically changing every few seconds! from like 3.7ghz to 3875.00... 4650..!!! ? what the hell is going on!!
 
Boot into the BIOS and return to factory defaults, save and exit, boot into windows and get hardware info up or CPU-Z (Or both) and monitor it at idle, looking at speeds of CPU and RAM and temps and voltages.

Trying to help you determine if it’s crashing at idle or under load.
 
In CPU-Z
This is every second at idle. Not under any load at all! Some. times it struggles to reboot and will immediately turn off.

I am on my Mobile phone Currently. Don't want my brand new system to fry!!

Ok I've sused how to flash back I tried flashing to a slightly more latest BIOS but is a "Beta". Just then but voltages and clock still jumping all over the place!..

Now flashing back to old BIOS.
have any of you. Guys ever heard of these crazy jumps with a CPU before at idle.?
 
Yes if I change my Desktop Gadget to read RealTime CPU Clock as I said above it will be all over the place not just a few states from Idle to Turbo, it happens so fast so many times it will not be seen normally so I leave that setting unchecked.

Sorry I misread John, I'm just a bit baffled as I have never seen my CPU do these jumps on that same reading in CPU-Z before? Sorry maybe I have not noticed correctly.
I mean this CPU is not currently. Overclocked.
So should be running at 3.9Mhz.

These jumps. On almost all cores at a time are reaching4.6Mhz.?

So you canconfirm this is normal? Not yet had a random shutdown since flashing back the BIOS! Yet fingers crossed

Thanks Thek, yes they have! I Flashed back BIOS to the earliest possible version.
No more random shut downs! crazy eh? I guess I will never be able to flash to latest which kind of sucks with a brand new expensive build.?

A few factors to consider is that I am using a 3 ishyear old non modular 500w (Bronze) PSU!!... with this new rebuild bits and bobs!. I currently have a nice shiny 1000w Corsair Modular on route.

I'm wondering if power issues could somehow of flagged up more with the new bios?
