Bios flash question

I am looking at updating the bios on my Abit Ip35 Pro mobo but having not done it before would like some advice, I hear it isnt a great idea to do it in windows as it can fail and cause all sorts of problems. I dont have a floppy drive either so what options do I have left? Use a usb drive? Any help much appreciated.

USB drive is the easist way.

I know how to do it on gigabyte boards, but not sure with Abit boards like yours.

but essentially you download the file and put it on ** USB, then boot from it.
